چکیده
Abstract The exposed rocks in Abu Hawis area, North Eastern Desert (NED), Egypt, consist of tonalite-granodiorite and monzogranite, dissected by post-granite felsic (microgranite rhyolite) mafic (basaltic-andesite) dikes. investigated radioactive minerals Zr-, Nb-, REE-bearing were restricted to dikes having E–W NE–SW trends. Uraninite, uranothorite, thorite occur as the main microgranite dikes, while is represent rhyolite Y 2 O 3 HREE are recorded zircon crystals from whereas HREEs grains below detection limit. Zircon contain high values HfO with up 9.08 wt % owing effect hydrothermal activity. Columbite has Ta/(Ta + Nb) Mn/(Mn Fe) ratios ranging between 0.0052–0.0164 0.0549–0.7010, respectively, which point manganocolumbite composition, except for two spots that show a ferrocolumbite composition. Fergusonite average Nb 5 , reaching 50.3, 22.93, 17.68 wt%, respectively. Monazite both marked enrichment ThO reaches 12.52 wt% first one, total ΣLREE reached 68.5 latter. Parisite chevkinite confined clear LREE averages 53.53 43.75

Zr-Y-Nb-REE mineralization associated with microgranite and basic dykes at EL Sela shear zone, South Eastern Desert, Egypt
El Sela shear zone occurs in the younger granite rock of Gabal El Sela area, south Eastern Desert, Egypt near the Sudan Frontier. It comprises lines-arranged intrusions trending ENE-WSW and extend for about 1.5 km in length and reach up to 40 meters in width. These lines-arranged intrusions include multi-phase quartz veins, altered microgranite and altered basic dykes. These dykes hosting or ac...
متن کاملAbu Hamamid Neoproterozoic Alaskan-type complex, south Eastern Desert, Egypt
Abu Hamamid (AH) Neoproterozoic (Sm/Nd model age of 770 ± 20 Ma) mafic–ultramafic intrusion lies along a NE–SW fracture zone in the Shadli Metavolcanic Belt, south Eastern Desert, Egypt. AH intrusion is concentrically zoned with cumulate clinopyroxenebearing dunite core mantled by olivine clinopyroxenite, hornblende clinopyroxenite and hornblende gabbroic rim. The observed crystallization seque...
متن کاملStudy of Petrology and Geochemistry of west Aghda Dikes (Yazd); Using Minerals Chemistry
Diabase dikes in the West Aghda (Yazd Province) are located within the Bahramtaj mine in the Central Iran zone. These dikes are dark gray and crops out in the limestone-dolomite rocks. They are located along the east-west faults of the West Aghda. Plagioclase, biotite, amphibole, and pyroxene are the main minerals in these dikes. Plagioclases are andesine, biotite are often iron type (FeO: 24....
متن کاملMineral Exploration and Alteration Zone Mapping in Eastern Desert of Egypt Using Aster Data
This paper proposes a method to find gold deposits in the Eastern Desert of Egypt. Different methods including various classification methods, principle component transform (PCT), band ratios, and a constrained energy minimization technique are evaluated for their performance for hydrothermal alteration zone mapping. First, these techniques are carried out to highlight known gold deposits over ...
متن کاملGeochemical Characteristics and Chemical Electron Microprobe U-Pb-Th Dating of Pitchblende Mineralization from Gabal Gattar Younger Granite, North Eastern Desert, Egypt
Pitchblende mineralization was studied in the younger granite samples collected from Gabal Gattar, north Eastern Desert, Egypt using electron scanning microscope (ESM) and electron probe microanalyses (EPMA). This study revealed that this pitchblende contains significant Zr content reaching up to (66.80% ZrO2), which suggests that volcanic rocks were probably the source of such a deposit. High ...
